Kloe's 2 Month Check Up

Today was Kloe's check up and she is growing!!! As you can see she is up to 10 pounds, 6 ounces now, and she is 21 inches long! She is a little short compared to her weight right now, but they said that she will soon catch up! The doctor said that everything looks great and she seems perfectly healthy, so we must be doing something right!!!! She was extremely brave for her shots, 3 in all, and she only cried for the brief moment that it took to stick her. She stopped as soon as I picked her up, so she is definitely a tough cookie! (I'm still a little traumatized...I wouldn't dream of skipping the immunizations but I hate to hurt my baby!!!)

Kalee was also a brave little soldier and got her "Flu Mist" so that she desn't bring home any gems to her baby sis...Thanks, KK!!! What a great big sister you are!!
Kloe is thoroughly exhausted from her big day at the doctors, though, so this is what she looks like at the moment....

Here are a couple pics from the Autumn Leaves Festival that we went to yesterday. Carissa was kind enough to take some pics for me since I left my camera on the coffee table!!!

Happy 2 Months Birthday, Baby Kloe!!!!

I cannot believe it but my little baby girl is 2 months old today!! The time is just flying by and she is growing so quickly and changing every day!! Today we went to the Autumn Leaves festival in Mt. Airy (home of Andy Griffith, for those of you who didn't know!!) And, I know that you'll be shocked, but Kloe slept through the whole event!!!! Tomorrow is her 2 month check up and I am eager to see how much she has actually grown in the 6 weeks since we were there last!

Busy Days...

We have had a lot of fun in the past few days!!! On Thursday we went to a friend's house from our mom's group to make Halloween picture frames, and the girls both had fun! Kalee got to play with her friends and craft, 2 of her favorite things! (And we totally take advantage of others coming up with and organizing these activities since Mommy is craft-challenged, to say the least!!!!) And Kloe got lots of love from all the mommies!! Here are some pics from that:

We also have made a few trips to the Farmer's Market, for pumpkins and then yesterday for a craft show. Kloe slept through both adventures, and believe me... the pumpkin trip was DEFINITELY an adventure! I loaded Kloe into the Snugli to have free hands to carry pumpkins, not realizing that I would find a great deal and want to purchase several, AND that I would have to reach down into those huge cardboard pumpkin boxes to choose just the right ones! So it was an interesting feat to bend into the box without losing my baby girl!!! Luckily we picked a booth with a friendly grandmotherly-type lady who noticed my struggles and helped me out!! And, as usual, the little angel didn't even make a peep!! Here is one pic from the Farmer's Market...for some reason the rest won't upload! Maybe I can figure it out tomorrow!!

On Saturday evening we went to our neighbor's house for a campfire where he made chicken stew in a huge cauldron...yummy!! Kloe was all bundled up for a chilly evening, including Kalee's old "witchy-poo" slippers, which were a bit too big but kept her little piggies toasty anyway!!

Still Trying to Capture the Smile....

Here are my latest attempts at preserving Kloe's earliest smiles on film...you can kind of tell she's smiling, I guess....

If I ever win the lottery I am getting a better camera!!!!!

I'm Back!!

Well, I know that yet again I have been slacking on the blog (thanks for the reminder, Pauline :) ) so I am back and I SWEAR I am going to be updating it more!!We really haven't been up to anything too terribly exciting lately, mostly just hanging out and playing a lot!! The weather has been absolutely beautiful so we have been walking around the 'hood and, of course, hanging out in the driveway!! We had a fun surprise visit from Mom Mom and Aunt Nikki which was lots of fun, even though it was too short! And we are looking forward to going to Cherokee for the weekend in 2 weeks with Mom Mom and Pop Pop!

The girls are both doing really well. Kloe is just such a sweet and happy baby, and she has been smiling sooo much lately! When she wakes up in the morning she is just so smiley and sweet, ESPECIALLY when she sees Kalee! Unfortunately I haven't been able to get a good picture of her smiling, though...my dumb camera is too slow and I always miss the moment! She is sleeping for at least 10 hours at night, the little sweetheart!! (She knows her momma doesn't do well with no sleep!) She is awake for longer and longer periods during the day, and she also loves to be outside with us.

Kalee is her same usual hilarious self! She keeps us all laughing constantly with her all-too grown up ways! Danny went golfing yesterday with some friends and I asked her what she would like to do for the day, so, of course, she chose the mall! So we hung out at Build a Bear, ate soft pretzels, checked out Halloween costumes, got a new outfit, and generally had a fun "girly" day! Then we went to a friend's house for a birthday dinner and the girls partied it up till 11:00! I actually had to wake Kloe up at 10:30 this morning!!

I am the LUCKIEST mom.....

to have such an awesome baby!!! Not to brag here (haha) but Kloe really is a wonderful baby, JUST like Kalee was! She is so sweet-tempered and such a great sleeper....I don't know what I did to deserve such sweet, easy kids!

Here are some pics from Kloe's first "big" bath in the baby bathtub, during which she barely even fussed! And of course Kalee was a huge help, gathering supplies and even taking her own pictures of the big event!
