I am the LUCKIEST mom.....

to have such an awesome baby!!! Not to brag here (haha) but Kloe really is a wonderful baby, JUST like Kalee was! She is so sweet-tempered and such a great sleeper....I don't know what I did to deserve such sweet, easy kids!

Here are some pics from Kloe's first "big" bath in the baby bathtub, during which she barely even fussed! And of course Kalee was a huge help, gathering supplies and even taking her own pictures of the big event!

Grandpa's Little Hunter

So before we finally relented and let Grandma and Grandpa go back to Maryland, we had to squeeze in a traditional trip to Gander Mountain! For those of you who don't know, that is a store that sells "outdoors" type stuff, for hunting, fishing, camping, and such. Kalee LOVES to go there and check out all of the 4-wheelers and camo items! (Yes, my little princess LOVES her some camo!!)

So we went to Gander Mountain on a mission to find Kalee a "hunter girl shirt," much to Grandpa's delight, I think! She had a blast, even though there was not a 4-wheeler in sight...apparently they no longer sell them! She played with decoys and deer calls, and found the most awesome of all hunter girl shirts which she changed into immediately upon entering the car! She even found a fabulous camouflage hat to complete the ensemble!!

AND she found a pink air rifle, a la Ralphie from "A Christmas Story," which we did not purchase at this time but I'm sure it is probably in her future!! She also found herself some groundhog shaped targets, since she and Grandpa had been watching for the groundhog who visits our backyard and discussing how easy it would be to take him down!!

I guess I should be really pleased that she is such a diverse little princess who can shift gears from Ballet, Tap, and Tumbling to redneck sharpshooter, but the look in her eyes when she was holding that gun makes me a LITTLE nervous.....

Our Little Twinkle Toes

Yesterday was Kalee's first day of her Ballet, Tap, and Tumbling class. She was really excited to go, and I swear she must have asked me 800 times if it was time to leave for dance class throughout the day! She couldn't wait to get dressed and leave for "Extravadance." We had gone to the dance store on Wedndesday to purchase her ballet and tap shoes, where she informed the nice man who was helping us that she had quit preschool to do "activities" this year! Pretty funny...he was somewhat taken aback!! As soon as we got home, she unpacked her shoes and loaded them into the new dance bag that Grandma had bought her and put it by the door in preparation for Thursday afternoon! Also, she was thrilled with the little stage in the store in front of a full length mirror where she tried out her tap shoes...I think it is going to be a noisy year, and God help my hardwood floors!!!

When we arrived at the dance studio she got a little apprehensive in spite of the fact that a friend from preschool (you know, where she USED to go before she quit to do activities!!) was going to be in her class. She got a little teary and clingy when it was tme to go in, but she kissed me and went off with her teacher like a big girl! Afterwards she told us that she cried for a little while at first and she watched herself cry in the mirrors while she danced! My poor baby! But she said that she really liked it, and she even made a new friend named Katherine, so we'll see how next week goes!

Shout Out to Chad

I have to post just a quick note here to say a big Thank You to my brother in law Chad who was a HUGE help when I had Kloe! Not only did he rush Wendy back to the hospital when I dilated almost instantaneously and get her there in time for the delivery, the man brought me Pizza Hut and margaritas with salt, AND went bra shopping for me with my wonderful husband!!!! So Chad, I will totally be there when you guys reproduce and bring you the dinner of your choice and go buy you underwear if you forget them!! (Oh, well, nevermind on that last one..LOL!!!!) BUT, be prepared, I will be working out in preparation to take you down to cut that cord, so maybe you better just work on some twins so that we can each have one!!

Kalee's Latest Dental Visit

It was that time again on Tuesday for Kalee to pay a visit to Dr. Tina to get the "princess teeth" checked out. In spite of her mother's intense dislike of the dentist (to put it mildly!!) Kalee doesn't mind it at all, and even lets them do x-rays on her! There are video games in the waiting room, Disney channel on the televisions, and lots of toys and books to check out. Her favorite part, though, is the prize basket, from which she scored some SWEET sunglasses this visit...see pics!!!! And yes, she is in fact barefoot in the dentist's chair...she just makes herself comfy wherever we go!

However, the best part of the visit had to be the way she looked at the other little patient in the room with her. He was throwing a FIT, and Kalee had NO patience for such actions. She kept sitting up and glaring at him like he was completely interfering with her visit with his crying and "hooting." It was pretty hilarious, and very typically Kalee!! But Danny and I were super proud of how brave and cooperative she was! And, most importantly, no cavities AGAIN!! Yay, Kalee!!

I'm Already Slacking on the Blog....

But now I am going to try to catch up!!! Labor Day weekend was a fun whirlwind of activity, as Kalee and Kloe's Great Aunts came from Baltimore to visit for the first time, and we have yet to allow Grandma and Grandpa to go home! We had soooo much fun, shoppping, visiting, eating, and, um, well, more shopping!!!!!! Kalee kept everyone laughing all weekend just being KK, telling her "hilarious" knock knock jokes and carrying on her normal adult conversations. She said so many crazy things over the course of those 4 days that I can't even begin to recall them all....luckily Pauline kept notes!
The Gr-Aunts, as Pauline has dubbed them, TOTALLY spoiled all of us. The girls got lots of treats and presents, including but not limited to....baby dolls, new Build a Bears complete with matching outfits, crayons, coloring books, a Diaper Genie, new binkies, cookies and brownies from Panera, multiple carousel rides at the mall, Alka Seltzer for poor sick Daddy, and dinner at Red Lobster! (Kloe's first big dinner out, I might add!!) So thanks for everything, Jean and Pauline, including doing anything and everything that Kalee commanded, and keep in mind that she is already talking about when you will be coming back for visit #2!!!!
